Microchipping your pet

A microchip is a tiny electronic device that is implanted beneath your pet’s skin the size of a grain of rice.

When scanned the microchip transmits your pet’s unique identification number to the scanning device,

this enables your pet to be identified and your personal details

to be retrieved from the microchip database. If the unthinkable does happen and your

pet goes missing; the microchip can easily be scanned by any veterinary practice or

pet care service to retrieve your personal detailS and get in contact with you.

It is important to keep your details up to date so you can be reunited with your pet as quickly as possible.

You can rest assured that the microchip will be effective for your pets’ entire

lifetime and the procedure is safe and simple.

Our microchips are Paddymark microchips and registered to Animal Tracker.

It is now a legal requirement to have dogs and cats microchipped or you can be fined.

You must make sure your dog or cat is fitted with a microchip and registered on a database.

Your dog must be microchipped and registered by the time they’re 8 weeks old.

Your cat must be microchipped and registered by the time they’re 20 weeks old.

(This includes cats that usually only stay indoors)

Our microchip service is done in the comfort of your own home and

costs from £15.00 to £20.00 depending on location.
